Athena Starwoman was born into a long line of famous mystics. This is such a fun book! It has some practical and some not-so-practical spells in it for all occasions. Best for people who have a bit of backgroud with already knowing how to cast a circle and do their own rituals. These, to me are like "the cherry on top". Great book, quick read.

A great starting place!

I am new to witchcraft and I don't know much about it but I do know that when I bought this book, it brought a new understanding of witchcraft to me. I noticed that I have a better love for everything around me and I feel a lot more spiritually connected to myself and orther people and things. I now have a new perspecive of life. I have no clue whether this book brought to me all of this happiness or if it was just the attraction of a new and very different way of life that deluted me but all I can say is that this idea of witchcraft has brought me out of a depression and obsession that I never thought I could have escaped. Other than that, the book has many fun spells to try. Many of which are to help better your life but some just for fun. You don't really need all of these spells to acheive your goals but the spells do make it a lot easier to get started on them. It also helps you to open up your psycic abilities. Well over all I really do think that this book was worth my money and probably more. Two thumbs up by me!

Not what you all think

(...) This book is NOT bad or evil at all! It is a great little book to have...every witch should have this book! It's inspiring, and it's funny, and entertaining! On the back of the book, it says "Magic/Humor"...so don't take it TOO seriously. Magick is all in your head...if you believe that you can accomplish something, you can. I just read the entire book, and it was great! Athena and Deborah totally help you out in many ways. They give good advice, saying that you're beautiful and that you're better off without that toad of an ex. (YOu can't really turn your ex-bf into a toad, obviously). They include that the spells are still under the 'good' or 'white' category of spellcasting. A lot of the spells are just to make you feel better about yourself. If you want something bad enough you can have it, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. :) Seriously, this book is great! It's not AT ALL like what the other reviews said here that I read, before I bought this book. I read every review on here about this book, and most of them were negative and I was a little scared to get this book. I decided to buy it, b/c the reviews here are just opinions, and I wanted to see for myself. I'm smart enough to tell what a good or evil spell is....most of the reviewers on here, haven't even read the book...they just judged it by it's title and cover. It's just a fun book to make you feel better about yourself, and to give you some sense of hope. These women who wrote the book, it feels as tho they really understand what us women have to go thru!!! They cover practically every aspect of being a woman today!! See for yourself what a great book this is!! Was alittle shocked at the size of the book, it is small. About the size of my hand. (...) Keep up the good work Athena, Deborah (...)!
