Hey there!
In Dec 2009 I came up with a cunning plan, to retire in 12 months. The title of my blog was a bit tongue in cheek but the commitment was solid to create an income I could earn working one day a week from anywhere in the world. I blogged on the topic at retireyoung.com.au and followed my progress to create this new income and lifestyle through blogging. The journey has been life changing and has opened up so many doors for me, I am thrilled to be able to share the "how to" so that hopefully you can have this life too. It is part motivational and part technical and I hope you enjoy the book. Serena : )

This is a good start if someone is looking for a change in their life/career. Having had some internet marketing experience the book gives you a general overview of what you can do, you would need to have a much deeper detailed plan to follow. A good start for someone just starting out, but I would not say retire in 12 months.

How To Retire in 12 Months is a succinct, action-focussed and inspirational step-by-step guide to setting up an online business. I've read a lot of similar guides, and Star-Leonard's stands out for being informative, practical and jargon-free. I love the style it's written in, and the use of real-world examples to ground it in reality. I found myself constantly putting it down to jot down ideas and add things to my to-do list.
If you're after a kick-start guide to setting up an online business from go to woah, this is the book for you!

Fantastic toolkit for the novice or expert

I have startup aspirations, I dream of starting a company that makes a difference, that changes things, that I make a mark on the world through. I also want to work for myself and follow my own dreams. The modern version of that is Google or Microsoft. Smart guy makes good. The problem is this is the exception not the rule. Serena puts independence within reach. This is an inspirational book but it is more substance than speeches. It drives you to act and tells you how. It has changed my reasoning on what kind of company I want to start and for me that is a pretty high compliment as I am STUBBORN. For the cynic this book will win you over for the dreamer this book will give you the ABCs. Read it, its good.
